The images here are small
versions of actual mounted and
framed artwork, which measure
59" x 41" (that's about 5 feet by
3 1/2 feet). Each finished piece
is actually made up of eighteen
signed and numbered 8.5" x 11"
prints, all generated from a
single original photograph. The
prints are rated as archival by
Kodak, are museum hinged,
mounted on acid free board,
framed behind UV resistant
plexiglass, in an oiled maple
frame. The series is limited to
100.
Except for the Lotus Flowers,
which were shot in 1999 at the
Generalife Gardens in Granada,
Spain, all of the images were
photographed in the gardens of
'The Orchard' in Newport, RI
every spring between 1996 and
1999.
As I live in New York City, I
created these pieces to give me
a 'window' to springtime in the
country. They bring me a sense
of peace and relaxation that I
love to share. Seeing the
images at this enlarged scale
also gives the viewer a new
appreciation for the beauty and
perfection of flowers.
Each piece (18 panels, one
image) is priced at $1900, framed. If
you are interested in
purchasing any of these prints,
please call or e-mail me to make
arrangements.

This is a series which I have just begun working on. In it I intend to explore some issues about the nature of beauty, and intimacy.
The images here are small versions of actual mounted and framed artwork, which measure 41" x 41" (that's about 3 1/2 feet square). Each finished piece is actually made up of 12 signed and numbered 8.5" x 11" prints, all generated from a single original photograph. The prints are rated as archival by Kodak, are museum hinged, mounted on acid free board, framed behind UV resistant plexiglass, in an oiled maple frame. The series will be limited to 100.
Each piece (12 panels, one
image) is priced at $1500, framed. If
you are interested in
purchasing any of these prints,
please call or e-mail me to make
arrangements.
I will continue to add images to the site as I complete them, please come back and check.

In October of 2000, I finally made a trip which I had known was important to me for many years.
With some of my immediate family, I made a trip to both the and Buchenwald & Dachau Concentration Camps in Germany. It was a moving, but very difficult experience for me. I found myself using my camera to capture some 'vignettes' that caught my eye.
I later realized that it helped me buffer some of my emotions during my visits, and it allowed me to deal with my feelings over time. Rather than a studied documentary of the camps, this is a series of vignettes and impressions, an emotional rather than a factual record.

These are a few pieces from an unfinished series.
I love glass, the way it reflects and transmits light, and the way it breaks. So, I picked up pieces of broken glass from the streets of New York, and brought them back to the studio to shoot.

The Shell Series is the oldest set of photographs on my site.
In 1989 and1990, I photographed these rather small fragments of shells (from 1" to 3" in actual height) that I had found in the Carribean Islands. I found the shapes and textures to be reminiscent of the human form, and I found that by greatly enlarging the photographs, it drew more attention to the abstract aspects of the forms.
The final pieces in this series are 16"x20", printed in permanent, pigment based inks on a fine, cotton, 19Óx26Óoff-white paper. The prints are signed, and limited to a series of 250.
Each piece is priced at $275 unframed, $375 framed. If
you are interested in
purchasing any of these prints,
please call or e-mail me to make
arrangements.
